A planned kitchen renovation became a kids' bedroom, bathroom and verandah extension. Matching an original curved bullnose verandah roof to a flat entertaining-area extension was tricky. Tight spaces around existing structures and matching old pine floorboards were other challenges. The house has been a boarding house and a hospital.
A rare new home on a vacant block. A spec build focused on price without cutting quality. Highlights: solid blackbutt timber floors (not engineered), wine display cabinet, rooftop terrace, and handmade timber privacy screens front and rear creating a secluded city oasis.
Riverton is close to our hearts — our family lived in the house before renovations. We worked with Shane Willmett (ABA) on design and development. Highlights include the bridge to the master suite, the staircase, and curved entry ceilings that reflect local heritage, marrying with the formed concrete at the rear. A 4-sided glass fireplace that gives the sunken lounge a warm, family feel.
Tasteful update to a 1930s Tennyson riverfront home: reconfigured wet areas, repaired a storm‑damaged home office, and coordinated with cabinetmakers Wyer and Craw. Highlights: coffered ceiling and French oak flooring.
Renovation of a 1930s cottage retaining original copper gas-light piping. Collaborated with Shane Willmett (ABA) to create a peaceful oasis on busy Paddington. Overland flow required a suspended lower slab and extensive upper planter formwork. Stacked stone adds strong texture. Won Best Kitchen—Brisbane and Queensland, Master Builders Awards 2022.
